Nancy Galea

Nancy’s journey to Boca Tech and Automation began when her husband, Jeff, decided to turn his passion for automation and electronics into a business. As they developed their vision for BTA, Nancy realized the importance of aesthetics and how things would look as well as perform. Because of this, she took on the task of designing our first location and has continued working to keep things looking exceptional ever since.

Nancy says that the most rewarding part of her job is witnessing the “Ah-Ha” moment when people realize how much home automation can enhance their lives. With a keen eye for design paired with an understanding of the integration of technology into existing home aesthetics, she can ensure that BTA’s world-class systems look just as good as they perform.

As co-owner, Nancy has over 20 years of professional experience in the field. She has held a variety of roles from Theater and Showroom design to finance, Lutron lighting, drapery, and keypads; Nancy has become certified in all of these Lutron fields as well as becoming a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).

“One of my most memorable projects is an extensive Art Deco Theater for some clients who were highly engaged and excited to add their own unique flourishes that were outside of our normal scope. This resulted in a very unique room which still stands out in my mind to this day. Additionally, the ongoing evolution of our Design Center and Showroom is challenging but highly rewarding, we have built something truly one-of-a-kind”.

Outside of work, Nancy is an avid reader and HGTV enthusiast. She enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes which she finds to be a delightful way to unwind along with spending time with her family, which is very important to her.
