Every year one of our goals is to promote and educate our community about custom home technology. It is our passion. Technology is our life, it’s what we know and it’s what we have dedicated our lives to since deciding to work in this field. We know how it can change your life for the better, it can fortify health and wellness as easily as it can save you money. When the lockdown forced so many inside, our world was still thriving, delivering our support and services remotely.

To keep delivering our purpose, we created the Boca Tech Talks. It was two fantastic seasons. And during the second season our presenters spoke about every aspect of a Smart Home Technology project. How lighting can increase your health, safety, and wellness while becoming easier to control. We learned how to design your home to blend technology into a space instead of just placing your tech in the room haphazardly, ruining the aesthetics. We learned things like Automated shade and shelter, power management, home theaters, and even single media rooms.

To cap off Season 2 as well as this year our guest instructors from this season will return for a panel discussion that will cover what they think the Trends and Tendencies for 2021 will be. Take this opportunity to hear from the experts about what technology will be hot in 2021!

With technology playing such a huge role in our lives today, it’s only natural that our homes have technology everywhere too, whether it be indoors or out. The in/outdoor technology and entertainment market has grown beyond simple audio and video options. This course will provide design and build partners with expertise in outdoor technology options and knowledge in how the environment (including weather, location, and terrain) influences your outdoor equipment choices. Additionally, participants will discuss the infrastructure and equipment that will be needed to ensure a project’s completion, as well as secondary routes available to them to ensure that the project is successful. Real-world examples will be provided throughout the course to ensure attendees understand how these principles are relevant to any project that includes an outdoor component.

Learning objectives:

  • List technology options for outdoor spaces.
  • Become familiar with outdoor project site evaluations.
  • Identify how environmental conditions influence outdoor technologies.
  • Review infrastructure and equipment needs/options.
  • Examine control options and real-world applications.
